The economy, government incentives, health and the environment are all reviving bicycling in Japan. Car sales are down and bike sales are up. Even Toyota is giving their employees incentive to bike to work. In 2001 Nagoya reduced commuter incentives for cars and increased bicycling incentives; the result?
